DESENVOLVIMENTO DE UM SISTEMA PARA AUXÍLIO AO DIAGNÓSTICO DE DIABETES EMPREGANDO REDES NEURAIS ARTIFICIAIS (SADD)

Abstract

This paper presents the development of a system whose main function is to assist health professionals in the diagnosis of diabetes, using the learning ability of Artificial Neural Networks. Training of the RNAs was done by Pima Indians database. Neural networks was trained differently where one will be trained to search for normal cases and the second to diagnose diabetes cases where further samples will be tested.Este artigo aborda o desenvolvimento de um sistema cuja principal função é auxiliar os profissionais da área da saúde no diagnóstico da diabetes, utilizando a capacidade de aprendizagem das Redes Neurais Artificiais (RNAs). Foram utilizadas duas RNAs, cujo treinamento é realizado por meio da base de dados Pima Indians. Esta base de dados contém as informações referentes a uma comunidade indígena que é conhecida por apresentar a maior taxa de incidência de diabetes no mundo. As RNAs possuem objetivos diferentes, sendo que uma foi treinada para a busca de casos normais e a outra para diagnosticar casos de diabetes
