Abstract

Sanger-like read lengths- the power of next-gen throughput Uncover more of your genome, transcriptome or metagenome of interest with extended Sanger-like read lengths from the GS FLX+ System. Improvements in sequencing chemistry, instrumentation and software offer the latest in GS FLX System performance, with read lengths up to 1 kb. n Longer, Sanger-like read lengths: 85 % of total bases from reads longer than 500 bp; longest reads are over 1 kb in length n Increased yield per run: Longer reads add to sequencing throughput, improving overall run economics n Improved de novo assemblies: Generate more accurate assemblies with fewer gaps, longer contigs and better assignment of repeat regions n More comprehensive transcript coverage: Long single reads span more exons for more complete fulllength de novo transcript reconstruction Available as an on-site instrument upgrade or new instrument, the GS FLX+ System is designed for use with both the new long-read GS FLX Titanium Sequencing Kit XL+ and the existing GS FLX Titanium Sequencing Kit XLR70
