This study aims to compare the English learning achievement of students who learned and who did not learn English inelementary schools. Critical Age Hypothesis states that 2 to 12 years old is a very ideal time to achieve the best Englishproficiency. The results of the study can be used as a reference for the English language teaching policies inelementary school. This research is a comparative descriptive study with a quantitative approach. Data from two samplegroups were selected through purposive sampling technique and then compared. The results showed that the highestscore (A) was achieved more by students who learned English in elementary school. Medium score (B/B +) was achievedmore by students who did not learn English in elementary school but with a small difference. The low score (C/C+) wasachieved more by students who did not learn English in elementary school
