Increasing Student Engagement in Secondary Classrooms

Abstract

To inform my future curricular improvements and the teaching methodology I use, is the purpose of this research. Research Questions The purpose of this study was to answer these questions: 1. How can curriculum design increase student engagement? 2. What best practices increase student engagement? Focus of the Paper This paper examines literature to define what is meant by student engagement and examines how curriculum design and teacher practices contribute to increased student engagement.
