A New Stacked Chip Thermal Layout Optimization

In this paper,a new method based on ant colony algorithm is proposed to solve the stacked chips on the thermal layout optimization. Considering stimulating appropriately the ants to try a rarely passed path in the selection strategy, it is conducive to more global search of the solution space, which can effectively overcome the deficiency of the basic ant colony algorithm. The results show that the new algorithm improves some extent in solving performance and jumping out of the local minimum solution. The new algorithm is applied to thermal layout optimization, and the stacked chip temperature is significantly reduced
