conference in Toronto, Ontario. Our programs will focus this year on the technological challenges to libraries and the needs of our users in this beginning of the twenty-first century. We will begin our conference with the second Digital Reference @ Your Library Preconference all day on Friday, June 20. The content of this preconference does not duplicate the first one given in Atlanta and we hope that past attendees as well as new attendees will join us for what is sure to be a fascinating discussion of both the practical and the visionary aspects of virtual reference. Don't miss the MARS Chair's program on Sunday morning as we hear a panel of experts talk about the information commons concept in libraries today. As our users demand more and more hardware and software options to facilitate their research, libraries of all types are struggling with the question of what services they can offer in their present physical environment and with limited staffing. We will hear from some people who have successfully integrated information labs or "commons " into their libraries, including speakers from two local Toronto libraries.
