Abstract

One of the biggest problems in system design is how to handle grounding. There are several competing requirements that are dependent on the frequency and system complexity. Unfortunately, there is no magic “cookbook ” approach to grounding that will always guarantee success. What we will do here is present some of the effects that must be considered when designing the system. The main thing is to look at how and where the dc and ac currents flow in a PCB.
