During the 2004 annual meeting of the International Visual Sociology Association a committe was formed and charged with the task of organizing a model of summer training in Visual Sociology. The purpose of this paper is to present just one model that could be duplicated and adapted to a variety of countries and alternative settings followed by several examples of partcipants' work produced during this experience. The first Summer School in Visual Sociology was held in Bertinoro (Italy), sponsored by the Faculty of Political Science (Forlì campus) of the University of Bologna, and the partnership of DePaul University of Chicago and Duquesne University of Pittsburgh
