Abstract

As we begin the next millennium, I am reminded of our progress, as an educational community and as a professional organization. Technology is no longer a new venture. Computers have been in schools since the late 70’s. It is surprising to realize that technology has been in schools that long. I mention that because it is hard for me to believe that I have been doing that work for twenty years and because in several ways technology is still new. Many schools are still in the process of acquiring connections to the Internet for their classrooms while others are struggling with updating existing equipment and incorporating new technologies
