Efficient Circular and Compact Fluorescent Lamps Diffusion Experimental Program at Residential Segment. A DSM Tool Development

By José Kozi Fugiwara, Companhia Paulista and Força Luz Cpfl

Abstract

T hi s Tehnical Contribution shows, firstly, the influence of the residential segment on the consumption of electric energy in Brazil, especially on the peak load of Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz- CPFL, and secondly the importance of conserving electrical energy in residential illumination in order to improve the electric system and ensure a reliable energy source for the industrial productive sectors. It describes the incentives to disseminate energy efficient fluorescent lamps with E-27 screw base into residences; and shows costs, benefits and effects of the Program implementation on a commercial scale. It concludes by considering the use of energy conservation as an instrument in the market planning
