board of trustees have agreed upon a peer review process required for all research published by MTI. The purpose of the review process is to ensure that the results presented are based upon a professionally acceptable research protocol. Research projects begin with the approval of a scope of work by the sponsoring entities, with in-process reviews by the MTI Research Director and the project sponsor. Periodic progress reports are provided to the MTI Research Director and the research Associates Policy Oversight committee (RAPOC). Review of the draft research product is usually conducted by the Research committee of the board of Trustees, and may include invited critiques from other professionals in the subject field.
