It is with great sadness that I inform you that an employee of the Legal Division at the State Printing Office, Page Porter, died last night as the result of a tragic accident at his home. He was 40 years old, and is survived by his wife, Norma, and three children, Jonathan, Robbin and Edward. He was active in the community including volunteering as a soccer coach for his children's teams. Please join me in a moment of silence in his memory. O God, in whose life we find life, give our Senators throughout this day a sense of Your nearness. As they wrestle with decisions, may they turn to You for wisdom, knowing that You are only a prayer away. When they feel discouragement, help them to find cheer in Your promise to always be with them, even until the end of time. May Your divine nearness purge them of all that blemishes, corrupts, or defies their common life. May Your divine companionship inspire them with wisdom and grace to build a better world. We pray in Your strong Name. AMEN. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Senator Horsford moved that further reading of the Journal be dispensed with, and the President and Secretary be authorized to make the necessary corrections and additions. Motion carried
