For the SIS-100 of FAIR, superconducting dipole magnets will be used. In order to further decrease the dynamic losses caused by eddy currents induced in the laminated yoke, modifi ed designs for the end blocks are investigated. Simulations are performed using the original coil as well as an artifi cial one to analyse the impact of the end turns on the computed losses. The results show a strong dependence of the losses on the coil geometry
