This paper proposes a power-aware task scheduling algorithm for both dynamic voltage selection and power management in multiprocessor environments. Based on the power profiling information, the algorithm for the task assignment and the task ordering in multiprocessor systems is provided. Moreover, a new priority-based task scheduling and linear programming models are proposed. The best solution is searched with tuning parameters. Experimental results show that four processors are sufficient to maximize energy savings for randomly generated applications.
