This document discusses architecture modelling for the software aspects of interactive systems. The literature shows a wide variety of such models revealing distinct goals, applicability, or scientific beliefs. In order to facilitate the presentation, a simple taxonomic framework is introduced based on the nature and the granularity of the entities that models use as well as on the extent to which models are able to support a particular set of requirements. The dimensions of the MSM framework are used as a set of such criteria to evaluate and compare two categories of architectural models: the conceptual multi-agent models such as GIO, PAC and MVC, and the implementational models such as Seeheim
