Nordin, Simulation of sediment transport and armouring (Papers 1 and 2 were published in IAHS Publication no. 122; papers 3 and 4 are in this issue of the Bulletin) SUMMARY OF PAPERS SUBMITTED All the papers reviewed in this section emphasize the need for better assessment techniques for sediment processes. Each paper examines a different aspect of the subject and presents a mathematical model approach. The paper by Onstad and Bowie considers two aspects of sediment modelling, namely the assessment of discrete storm sediment yield for single storm events and the assessment of annual sediment yields and sources for complete areas.
