Levinson's limit-point criterion and powers


AbstractIt is shown here that Levinson's well-known criterion for the real differential expression My = −(py′)′ + qy to be in the limit-point case also implies that Mk is in the limit-point case for any k = 1, 2, 3,… and hence that any polynomial expression in M is in the limit-point case
