Oedemera sexualis (Coleoptera: Oedemeridae) is endemic to the Japanese Archipelago and distributed from the southern end of the Ryukyu Islands to the western part of Honshu mainland. Individuals were collected from 22 localities in Japan from 2002 to 2016
