Clarity and charisma: on the uses of ambiguity in ritual life

In this chapter, I argue that a focus on charisma can help us understand the extent to which clarity in religious ritual generates a meaningful attitude. The focus is upon two examples from the Johane Masowe church, an apostolic Christian Church with congregations found throughout most of Zimbabwe
