Differential protection of electrical distribution networks

Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu obrađena je uzdužna diferencijalna zaštita zamkaste distribucijske mreže. Na početku je ukratko opisana distribucijska mreža, te su teorijski obrađeni najčešći kvarovi s obzirom na uzemljenje mreže. Naglasak je na diferencijalnoj zaštiti, koja se smatra glavnom zaštitom, dok se kao rezervna zaštita u mrežama koristi nadstrujna zaštita. Glavni element diferencijalne zaštite je diferencijalni relej, te su u radu opisana tri releja različitih proizvođača - RED 615 (ABB), SIPROTEC 7SD87 (Siemens) i MiCOM P521 (Schneider Electric). Također, pokazan je primjer kako je u praksi izvršeno podešenja diferencijalne relejne zaštite u DP Elektre Koprivnica korištenjem proračuna tokova snaga i kratkog spoja.The thesis presents and describes line differential protection of distribution network. At the beginning of the paper, distribution network is briefly described, as well as most common faults, depending on earthing of network. The emphasis is on differential protection which is conisdered as primary protection, whereas the overcurrent protection is used as a backup protection. Main element used for differential protection is differential relay. Three of them, each from different manufacturer, are described in the paper – RED 615 (ABB), SIPROTEC 7SD87 (Siemens) and MiCOM P521 (Schneider Electric). Elektra Koprivnica is used as an example of how to adjust settings for the differential protection using load flow and short circuit estiamation calculations
