Abstract
Cilj je ovog rada ispitati strukturu priče djece mlađe školske dobi, odnosno opisati
razlike strukture priče osmogodišnjaka i desetogodišnjaka.
(Frog, where are you?, Mayer
1969.). Uzorak ispitanika činilo je ukupno 20 jednojezične djece govornika hrvatskoga jezika
urednoga jezično-govornoga razvoja.
skupina osmogodišnjaka i desetogodišnjaka iako spolne razlike nisu posebno analizirane.
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the structure of a narrative of young school-age
children, with respect to the differences between the narrative of 8 -year-olds and the narrative
of 10-year-olds. It was determined if all episodes of the causal network model were inherent
in narration, if the narratives of 10-year-olds were more structured than the narratives of 8 -year-olds, and if 10-year-olds provide the episode called situation more than 8-year-olds. A
wordless picture book Frog, Where Are You? (Mayer, 1969) was used to determine children’s
narrative abilities. There were all together 20 unilingual participants with regular language
development. They were all speakers of Croatian at the ages of eight and ten. The research
included equal number of children (10) at each age group regardless to their gender. Gathered
audio tracks were transcribed in CHAT. Although it was assumed that the narratives of 10-year-olds were more structured than the narratives of 8-year-olds and that the 10-year-olds
provide the episode called situation more than 8-year-olds, the results suggest that the
narratives of 8-year-olds were more structured than the narratives of 10-year-olds. Moreover,
it was confirmed that all episodes of the causal network model were inherent in the narratives
of young school-age children
