Abstract
Ovaj rad nam opisuje fleksibilnost i način rada dinamičkog pozicioniranja. Ideja koja je od temelja promjenila pomorsku industriju, poput nekadašnjeg vijka čija je pojava nezamislivo utjecala na moreplovstvo 18. stoljeća, jest upravo računalo u kombinaciji sa matematičkim algoritmima, što je dovelo do napretka sljedeće generacije plovila. Tehnologija koja je omogućila plovilu da se kreće slobodno u svim smjerovima po površini mora bez obzira na djelovanje morskih struja i vjetra, stvorila je novi spektar specijaliziranih plovila, koja su u stanju obavljati dotad nezamislive operacije, od ledolomaca pa sve do mobilnih odoblanih baza koje radi potragom za uljem buše i na dubinama većim od 3000 metara. Sustav koji je u stanju automatski regulirati poziciju, omogućuje sve precizniju plovidbu i otvara nam vrata u nedaleku budućnost, autonomnu plovidbu.This paper describes the flexibility and working method of dynamic positioning. Surely, computer combined with mathematic algorithms led to the next generation of shipping, as did other great ideas through a long period of time, such as ruder, sail, screw, etc., what all led to big revolutions in the maritime industry, especially the system of dynamic positioning. It is a technology that enables the boat to move freely in all directions on the surface of the sea, regardless of the effects sea currents and wind might have. Furthermore it had created a new range of specialized vessels that are capable of carrying out unimaginable operations from ice-breakers to mobile offshore drilling units, drilling in depths of up to 3000 meters.
