Development and Application of Optical Fiber Transmission Systems with Wavelength Multiplexing
Abstract
Svjetlovodni prijenosni sustavi s valnim multipleksiranjem (WDM) imaju dvije izvedbe: CWDM i DWDM. CWDM se koristi u pristupnim i gradskim mrežama, a DWDM u gradskim, regionalnim i mrežama velikog dometa. Ovisno o vrsti WDM sustava razlikuju se uređaji za njegovo ostvarenje, ali najvažnije komponente WDM mreže čine: predajnici, prijemnici, optičko vlakno, filtri, multiplekseri i demultiplekseri. Temelj DWDM-a su OADM uređaji, a u novoj generaciji ROADM, koji su prvi korak prema sveoptičkoj mreži. Analizirane su i mrežne topologije i različite arhitekture WDM sustava, kao i primjena DWDM-a u metro i regionalnim mrežama.Optical fiber transmission systems with wavelength multiplexing come in two different implementation: CWDM and DWDM. CWDM is used in acces and metropolotan networks, while DWDM is used in metro, regional and long-haul networks. Depending on type of WDM system used, thera are different components of WDM system implementation. Key component of DWDM is OADM, and next generation ROADM, which makes the first step towards all-optical network.
