Abstract
Cilj ovoga rada bio je istraţiti glazbene preferencije studenata prema suvremenoj umjetniĉkoj glazbi – glazbi 20. stoljeća. Istraţivanje je provedeno na studentima Filozofskog i Medicinskog fakulteta u Splitu. Rad se sastoji od tri dijela. U prvom dijelu rada govori se o suvremenoj umjetniĉkoj glazbi 20 stoljeća, o povijesnim okolnostima te o karakteristikama glazbe koje su posljedica toga vremena. U drugom dijelu rada govori se općenito o preferencijama, kako nastaju, koji su mogući uzroci nastanka te u kojem su meĊuodnosu preferencije i obrazovanje studenata. Treći dio rada sadrţi prikaz istraţivanja ĉiji je cilj bio utvrditi razlikuju li se preferencije studenata uĉiteljskog studija Filozofskog fakulteta Sveuĉilišta u Splitu od preferencija studenata Medicinskog fakulteta, ĉiji studijski program ne ukljuĉuje obvezne ni izborne glazbene predmete tokom studentskog obrazovanja. U istraţivanju navedenog problema postavljene su dvije hipoteze. Istraţivanje je provedeno pomoću Google internetske ankete na uzorku od 80 ispitanika. Anketa je sadrţavala 20 glazbenih primjera glazbe 20. stoljeća (10 instrumentalnih i 10 vokalno-instrumentalnih) te su ispitanici odreĊivali stupanj sviĊanja odreĊenog glazbenog djela. PotvrĊene su poĉetne pretpostavke da studenti Filozofskog fakulteta (Uĉiteljski studij) iskazuju višu razinu sviĊanja prema suvremenoj umjetniĉkoj glazbi 20. stoljeća u odnosu na studente Medicinskog fakulteta.The aim of this study was to gain insight into musical preferences of students towards contemporary art music - the music of the 20th century. The study was conducted on students of Faculty of Philosophy and Medicine in Split. The paper consists of three parts. The first part deals with the contemporary art music of the 20th century, the historical circumstances and the characteristics of music that are consequences of that time. The second part deals with general preferences, how they are produced and what are the possible causes of how education of students affects their preferences. The third part of the work contains a whole research review which aim was to determine the differences between the preferences of students of Faculty of Philosophy (the Department of Teacher study) and preferences of Medical students whose program does not include mandatory no elective musical subjects during the students’ education. Research had set three hypotheses. It was conducted using the Google Internet survey on a sample of 80 participants. The questionnaire contained 20 musical examples of 20th century music (10 instrumental and 10 vocal-instrumental) in which participants had to determine the degree of liking. The initial assumption that the students of Faculty of Philosophy (Teacher Education) reported higher levels likes to contemporary art music of the 20th century in relation to medical students was confirmed
