Teorija igara

By Magdalena Katić

Abstract

Prva knjiga objavljena na ovu temu je ''Theory of games and economic behavior'' autora matematičara Johna von Neumanna i ekonomista Oskara Morgensterna. Game theory is a scientific discipline that analyzes the current state, and summarizes the best opportunities in further procedures, for an individual and for a group. The first popular application was found in economics in the middle of the 20th century. In the modern era, it helps to create and choose the best decision as quickly as possible so that businessmen can manage their profitability in the aggressive markets of the 21st century. Game theory is viewed as another one in a series of theories that want to transcend human behavior, psychology, and the pervasiveness of human nature by choosing in very delicate events characterized by complexity. It is this complexity of the situation that is the foundation on which the theory of games develops. This implies a specific stage of the situation when ultimately the solution is not in the hands of one "player" / participant, but depends on a few who have the same desire to win. These behaviors and decisions are mutually dependent because they create the effect of mutual influence that further reflects the final outcome of the decision-making process. The first book published on this topic is "Theory of Games and Economic Behavior" by John von Neuman, author and mathematician, and economist Oskar Morgenster. Nevertheless, popularization of theory was most influenced by the figure and work of John Nasha who wrote "Non-cooperative games" in 1951. Based on this work, he was later awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics, and Hoolywood later filmed the movie "Beautiful Mind" with Russell Crow. The theory of games is used in a series of human interest spheres, but is extremely popular and applicable in the economy. Modern business is characterized by aggressiveness, determination and timely decisions, all in order to create profitability. All this can be set in the framework of game theory
