Concentrations of pentachlorophenol and lindane in various assortments of wood

Waste wood is often contaminated with pentachlorophenol (PCP) and lindane. To get a general view over the extent of contamination various samples of wood are examined. For the analysis PCP is derivatised by acetic anhydride. The determination of both compounds is carried out by GC/ECD.
