A historical study of business education and secretarial science at Oregon State University

Abstract

Graduation date: 1974The purpose of this study was to provide a history of the Business\ud Education and Secretarial Science departments at Oregon State\ud University. The historical-documentary method of research was\ud used. Extensive use was made of interviews with those involved in\ud the school's history. The chronology of history was divided into segments\ud for greater clarity. It covers the period from 1868-1970.\ud The study emphasizes the contribution made by members of the\ud Business Education and Secretarial Science faculty in the development\ud of Business Education.\ud The role of Business Education and Secretarial Science and\ud their philosophical aspects are discussed
