Copper-catalysed multicomponent click synthesis of 5-alkynyl 1,2,3-triazoles under ambient conditions

Abstract

Copper(I) oxide has been found to effectively catalyse the multicomponent click synthesis of fully substituted 5-alkynyl 1,2,3-triazoles from organic halides, sodium azide, and terminal ­alkynes in methanol under ambient conditions.This work was generously supported by the Spanish Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICINN; CTQ2007-65218 and Consolider Ingenio 2010-CSD2007-00006), the Generalitat Valenciana (GV; PROMETEO/2009/039), and Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER).
