Exact quantum phase model for mesoscopic Josephson junctions

Abstract

An exact version of the phenomenological quantum phase model was derived from the two-mode Bose-Hubbard model for a Josephson junction. It was shown that this exact quantum phase model reproduces the time scales and the π states of the Gross-Pitaevskii mean-field theory
