ブナ・アオモリトドマツ混交林の構造と更新

Abstract

1 ブナは山地帯で,アオモリトドマツは亜高山帯で極相林を構成する代表的樹種である。両種の分布の重なる地域の一部では,混交林が認められる。単純林の更新では,その優占種が稚樹段階で他の草本や低木との競争があるが,低木層を抜け出たあとは同種個体間の競争だけが問題になる。混交林の更新では,複数の優占種の異種個体間の競争も加わる。このため混交林の優占種の更新のしかたは,単純林の場合とは異なることが予想される。1. Fagus crenata and Abies mariesii are the climax dominant species in the montane zone (the cool-temperate zone) and in the subalpine zone (the sub-boreal zone), respectively. There are Fagus crenata-Abies mariesii forests (Fagus-Abies forests) in the certain parts of regions where altitudinal distributions of both species overlap each other
