The goal of male to female (MtoF) sex reassignment\ud surgery (SRS) is to provide an aesthetically\ud attractive and functional result, which permits the\ud new female effortless intromission, preserving\ud the potential for orgasm. Although many of these\ud patients would benefi t from imaging investigation,\ud either to plan SRS or to manage postoperative\ud complications, imaging is not routinely\ud performed in the standard clinical practice. This\ud likely arises, at least in part, from the lack of confi\ud dence of most radiologists with the pelvic anatomy\ud after genital reconfi guration and possible\ud postoperative complications

Topics: male-to-female sex reassignment surgery, imaging, results, postoperative complications.
