Development of sliding door cradle mechanism and design optimisation of waste bin enclosure

Abstract

V podjetju Dukin d.o.o. izdelujejo smetarnike, ki se uporabljajo za različne velikosti zabojnikov/kontejnerjev za odpadke. Pri smetarniku, ki se uporablja za največje zabojnike, je prišlo do težav pri sami uporabi. Pojavile so se težave pri premikanju drsnih vrat. Vrata so se zatikala in škripala. Napaka je bila v načinu vodenja, ki je bil uporabljen za vodenje drsnih vrat smetarnika. Uporabljen je bil način vodenja, ki ni primeren za izvedbo drsnih vrat, ki so uporabljena na smetarniku. Način vodenja je bilo potrebno izboljšati ali v celoti spremeniti. Celoten način vodenja sem spremenil oz. razvil nove komponente. Zaradi spremembe načina vodenja je prišlo do dimenzijskih sprememb celotnega smetarnika. Odločil sem se, da bom smetarnik istočasno tudi oblikovno optimiral.Dukin d.o.o. makes waste bin enclosures for different waste bin dimensions. A problem with sliding doors occurred on bigger dimension waste bin enclosures. Namely, the door often got stuck and sometimes remained stuck fast. The biggest problem was the sliding door cradle mechanism. The mechanism that was used was not appropriate. Therefore, the whole sliding door mechanism, had to be replaced. I decided to develop a completely new mechanism including all of the needed parts. The development of the new mechanism induced the dimensional changes on the waste bin enclosure, which ended in the design optimisation of the whole waste bin enclosure
