The paper describes the findings of a research aimed at assessing the importance of creating a culture of error during the process of teacher training. A framework was devised to back up the idea that the didactics of natural sciences serves may take advantage of the treatment of cognitive errors and their causes. Modeling is used in the design of the proposal, as well as procedures specific to action research to carried out the experimental introduction and controlling the results. The findings include the aforementioned framework and examples illustrating how to work with the cognitive errors from the teaching-learning process when studying the didactics of mathematics and physics
