GEOSTATISTICAL MODEL EVALUATION OF LIMING ON OSIJEK-BARANYA COUNTY EXAMPLE

Abstract

Nepovoljan pH tla glavni je razlog brojnih problema u debalansu hraniva, a samim tim i u rastu i razvoju biljaka, pojavi kloroza i nekroza na lišću i plodovima i dr. Stoga se kalcizacija, kao mjera popravke kiselih tala, mora provoditi oprezno, uz detaljnu prethodnu kemijsku analizu tla. Ovaj rad predstavlja segment kompjutorskoga modela za utvrđivanje potrebe u gnojidbi koji obavlja procjenu potrebe za kalcizacijom. Rezultati procjene analizirani su geostatističkom interpolacijskom metodom, krigingom. Analizirano je 9.023 uzoraka tla u periodu od 2003. do 2007. godine. Prosječna supstitucijska kiselost iznosila je 5,49 (min. 3,41 do max. 8,20). Krigingom je utvrđeno kako je 241.379 ha (58,3%) površine Osječko-baranjske županije kiselo, od čega je na 90.593 ha supstitucijska kiselost manja od 4,5, a na 150.786 ha pH-KCl kreće se između 4,5 i 5,5. Osim karbokalka, za kalcizaciju preporučuje se primjena i drugih "sporodjelujućih" materijala za kalcizaciju, naročito za trajne nasade.Unfavorable pH of soil is the main reason for several different problems in debalance of mineral nutrition which can cause many problems in plant growth; such as leaves and fruit chlorosis and necrosis; etc. Therefore; liming as a measure for improving amount of acids soils must be conducted very carefully; with detail chemical soil analyses. This paper presents a segment of computer model for liming recommendation at the example of Osijek-Baranya County. Results of liming recommendation were obtained by geostatistical interpolation method – kriging. Totals of 9023 soil samples were analyzed in the period 2003–2007. The substitution acidity average was 5.49 (minimum 3.41 to maximum 8.20). Kriging shown that 241 379 ha (58.3%) area of Osijek-Baranya County were acids soil. Therefore 90 593 ha have substitution acidity lower than 4.5 and 150 786 ha have pH KCl between 4.5 and 5.5. Except carbocalk; other "slowly-effect" materials can be recommended for liming; especially for vineyards and orchards
