Abstract

[[abstract]]Shaping the Core Competence of Secondary Vocational Education under Innovation-Based Economy in Taiwan Abstract This study tries to inquire the significances and the connotations of "core competence" for secondary vocational education under innovation-based economy in Taiwan. To achieve those goals, the thorough and critical reviews of related literature from the United States, Britain, Germany and Australia will be explored carefully at first. Second, the in-depth interview and applying grounded theory to analyze the collected data and information would be conducted. Finally, based on expert panel discussion, the findings of research are to be confirmed. The outcomes of this study are to construct the "core competence" of secondary vocational education and to provide the orientation of secondary vocational education school under innovation-based economy. At the same time, the suitable “core competence”for Taiwanese senior vocational school’s students is suggested.
