[[abstract]]The purpose of this study was to utility the ergometer to simulate the boat rowing to examinate the rower’s four different types of rowing movement. Subjects were the NTNU rowing vasity and their average height, weihgt and age were 174.4 +4.5cm, 68.87+4.1kg and 21.15+2.0yrs, respectively. Peak Performance Motion Analysis System was used to collect kinematic data for this study. After calculating and ananlysing, the conclusions were reached as followings: 1. The rowing movement of hands pulling first then legs pushing could suffice to use push-off force of leg. 2.The rower’s custom rowing movement advantaged to get long rowing horizotal distance and rest time. 3.The rowing movement of legs pushing first then hand pulling and legs pushing and hands pulling simultanous have nothing different in C.G movement distance、drive and recovery time and oar horizontal velocity .
