[[alternative]]A Study of the applying of Self-similarity on Conceptualism in Chinese Aesthetics

Abstract

[[abstract]]In Chinese traditional art, “Landscape painting” is highly-esteemed for its profundity. “Literati Painting”, a branch of “Landscape-painting”, even has become an exclusive form of art in world history. The Conceptualism is a mixture of the thought of LaoChuang and Metaphysics, and becomes the most crucial aesthetical theory of the “Landscape Painting”. Expressed by “Literati Painting”, “Landscape-painting” has been upgraded to a more spiritual and philosophical level. From adaption of western thinking to transforming of modern wash painting, the development of contemporary Chinese art is a revolution. To take it all in all, besides evolution of the outer, “Landscape-painting” in conceptual aesthetics has come into a broader area. A modern style of “Ch`an” emerges, expressing a sublimation in spiritual phase and performing a metaphor beyond exteriors. The computer technology provides a new method to restructure the materials. With application of computer software “Action Script”, a new digital Chinese wash painting is performed by using the codes “self-similarity”, “Random Calculation” and “Interactiveness” that create an environment of “Landscape-painting” conceptual aesthetics with “Following the Nature”, “Disposition” and “Interaction of Empty and Reality”.
