[[abstract]]The primary purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of as-solution treatment (480℃, 3 hours), artificial aging (150℃, 1、3、10 hours) and the environment of corrosion wear (distilled water、3.5wt% NaCl solution) on the corrosion wear behavior of A390 aluminum alloy. In addition, immersion tests and potentiodynamic polarization tests were proceeded in the NaCl、CH3COOH、HCl、H2SO4、NaOH and NH3 solution to investigate the effects of heat treatments and the environments of corrosion on the corrosion behavior. The results show that the corrosion pattern in every solution is pitting, and except in the CH3COOH solution, the luster of A390 aluminum alloy was lost after being immersed one month. The wear resistance of A390 aluminum alloy was better when the holding time of artificial aging increased. However, the precipitates formed during aging treatment will cause damage to the completeness of the oxide and lower the wear resistance of the material. In distilled water and 3.5wt%NaCl solution, as-solutionized Al alloy exhibited the best corrosion wear resistance. Plastic deformation and plough were observed on the worn surface of A390 aluminum alloy. In conclusion, the corrosion wear resistance of A390 aluminum alloy in the distilled water was better than that in the 3.5wt%NaCl solution. However, the corrosion wear resistance was decreased with the increase of the holding time of artificial aging.
