The production of textiles and clothing is a traditional branch in Latvia and is very important for the progress of economically significant processes . The production of clothing is one of the few branches in the national economy whose export volumes, though by a little, exceed the import and gives proof for its competitiveness on the international market in at time when the import volumes form Asia are increase rapidly . Constant and remarkable changes in technology, outlet markets and in the customer desires have become usual and the companies have to change the strategy and the tactics to remain competitive. The role and the image of the customer is changing, the mass consumer is replaced by the individual. These conditions are destroying the organizational stability of the companies and make them seek and create organizational structures which let them rearrange their activities. The article reflects the results of the analysis of working process management of a sewing line, working place equipment, working methods and operations. Recommendations have been worked out for a rational disposition of equipment corresponding to the assortment, for the penetrability of the flow optimizing the working processes and methods for improving work efficiency in a jacket assortment clothing production unit, as well as recommendations for working place, working method and working condition improvements in a flow, with the goal to attract the necessary labour force
