IMF - A Rigid Organization in a Changing Environment?

The project is an attempt to illuminate the workings of the IMF in the world today. We are interested in the change of client type that happened in the 70s onwards, though moves towards this could be seen earlier. In order to understand the contemporary situation, we hope to find the answers in the history of the Fund. The puzzling questions that came to our minds were: Who made the IMF? What were the initial purposes of the institution? Which actors and historical events have shaped the institution
