Desenvolvimento de varistores à base de SnO2 para aplicação em redes de alta tensão Development of SnO2-based varistors for high voltage application

Abstract

Varistores à base de SnO2 foram preparados pelo processo convencional de mistura de óxidos. As amostras foram sinterizadas a 1250 &deg;C por 2 h. Os difratogramas obtidos por difração de raios X e as análises por microscopia eletrônica de varredura mostraram a presença de uma única fase. Altos valores de coeficientes de não-linearidade foram obtidos para estes sistemas, que apresentaram comportamento varistor semelhantes aos de ZnO comercial<br>SnO2-based varistor systems were prepared by conventional mixing in a ball mill. The samples were sintered at 1250 ºC for 2 h. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy results indicated that the system is single phase. High nonlinear coefficient values, which are characteristic of high-voltage and commercial ZnO varistors, were obtained for these SnO2-based systems. All the systems developed here have potentially promising varistor applications
