Pengaruh kualiti CD mata pelajaran lukisan terbantu komputer dengan menggunakan perakam skrin camtasia studio terhadap motivasi, kefahaman dan pencapaian pelajar

Interactive multimedia has gain a wide attention in the field of teaching and learning. Interactive media such as high-quality CD provides opportunity for an active learning and also helps students in understanding the subject concepts that could be a formidable task if traditional teaching method is applied. The experimental study is carried out to study the effect of usage and quality of Computer Aided Drawing course CD produced using Camtasia Studio screen recorder, on students' motivation, understanding and achievement in Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Polytechnic (POLIMAS). Input data has been collected from 42 respondents and the study instruments include CD, pre-post tests, questionnaires and interview questions. All data have been analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SPSS Version 13. Independent t-test has been applied to test the statistical significance of the achievements' mean between experimental and control groups. Meanwhile, correlation test is used to study the relation between the quality of the video with students' motivation and understanding. Results from the study show that the quality of the video CD produced achieved a high mean score, that is 4.22. Motivation and understanding levels of the students after using the video screen recorded CD are also increase with high mean score of 4.23 and 4.18 respectively. The study have also shown that the achievement of the experimental group of students has been increased of about 5.2% compared to the control group of students. Correlation tests have shown that there is significant positive relation between students' motivation and understanding with the quality of the video CD with 89% and 85% respectively. However, there are still rooms for improvement of the quality of the video CD for teaching and learning purposes and also for commercialization for general use
