Abstract: Present study was to identify impact of education intervention on knowledge regarding Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD). The sample consisted of 240 urban and rural women from SHGs were selected randomly. Personal information schedule were prepared and used to collect the data. The results revealed that urban woman had higher overall knowledge regarding IDD and also the results on the mean knowledge score regarding consumption and storage of salt higher among urban women (8.65) compared to rural (8.13) however the difference was not significant1
