Moving Force Identification : Practice and Review

Abstract

Moving force identification from dynamic responses of a bridge is an important iverse problem in the civil and structural engineering field. Current knowledge on factors affecting performance of moving force identification methods is reviewed in tthis paper under main headings below: background of moving force identification, experimental verification both in laboratory and in field. Although there are still many changes and obstacles to be overcome before these methods can be implementd in practice, some results serve as a good indicator to steer the direction of further work in the field
