Detailed description of image contents: Roll 524: funeral ceremony for drowned man; ceremony held in temple because the death was unnatural; musicians play throughout; four young boys (relatives of deceased) temporarilly inducted into monkhood for one day in order to make merit (significance?) for the dead man. Roll 525: Funeral ceremony continued; coffin processed to cremation grounds on outskirts of town; women pull the wagon; young boys temporarilly elevated to monkhood sit in front of the wagon; fire lighted by sandalwood torches.
