Abstract

This collection consists of a handwritten recipe book, mostly in German, bound in a leather notebook with lined paper. Includes a handwritten list of recipes by Berta Altschüler.Hildegard Bendit Neuburger was born April 4, 1896 in Amberg, Bavaria, the oldest of three children of Justus and Clara Bendit. Her brother Manfred was killed during WW I. Hildegard got married in 1919 to Heinrich Neuburger, and the couple had two daughters. The family emigrated to England in August 1939 and immigrated to the United States in March 1940.Digital imageDigitize
