    Resource Geography: Utilization of Tongke-Tongke Mangrove Forest Area as A Learning Resource

    Learning resources are an important component and have a very important role in improving the quality of learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the activities and learning outcomes of students in resource geography courses by utilizing the tongke-tongke mangrove forest area as a learning resource. This research uses qualitative research methods. The source of data is the resource person (informant). There are three stages of data collection techniques, namely literature study, observation, and interviews. The technical analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that the utilization of tongke-tongke mangrove forest area as a learning resource can optimize student learning activities and outcomes. Utilization of tongke-tongke mangrove forest area as a learning resource can be a solution as a deepening of material and can stimulate student learning motivation in learning activities

    Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction and School Well-Being in Students

    Low school well-being is still experienced by students which can have an impact on low academic outcomes. One factor that can improve school well-being is basic psychological needs satisfaction at school. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between basic psychological needs Satisfaction at School with school well-being in students. The subjects of the study were 300 X students in Makassar. The criteria for the research subjects are students of the class of 2022, the Bugis tribe and the Makasaar tribe, willing to be research respondents. Research sampling technique using Multistage non random sampling. Data collection using 2 scales, namely the questionnaire used is the research instrument used is the Brief Adolescents' Subjective Well-Being in School Scale version Indonesian (BASWBSS). and basic Psychological Needs at School Scale (ASBPNSS). Hypothesis testing of this study uses simple regression data analysis techniques using the help of SPSS. The results showed a positive relationship between basic psychological needs Satisfaction at School with school well-being in students.

    Analysis of Learning Difficulties of Mathematics for Vocational School Students in the 3T Area

    This study aims to describe the mathematics learning difficulties of vocational high school students in the frontier, outermost and disadvantaged (3T) areas, especially in North Maluku Province, West Halmahera Regency. This type of qualitative descriptive research uses the results of questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The population in this study were students of class X TKJ, X Nautika Perkapalan, and X Asisten Keperawatan SMKS Fomarimoi for the academic year 2022/2023 as many as 19 students and 2 teachers. The results showed that the difficulties in learning mathematics for SMK students in 3T areas West Halmahera, were: (1) difficulties in understanding concepts; (2) difficulty in arithmetic operations; (3) difficulty in solving problems; (4) lack of self-awareness to learn mathematics; (5) low motivation to learn mathematics; (6) less able to determine the formula to be used; (7) facilities and infrastructure are still inadequate; (8) the ability of educators is still low; and (9) limited coverage of learning in 3T areas

    Communication Patterns of Lecturers in German Competence Teaching at the University

    Abstract. This study aims to obtain data and information related to lecturer communication patterns in German competence teaching. The course is focused on German language competence, consisting of four competencies: reading (Lesen), listening (Hören), writing (Schreiben), and speaking (Sprechen). The research was conducted in the German Language Education Study Program at the Faculty of Language and Literature. The results showed that the communication patterns used by lecturers in German competence teaching included as many as 291 communication patterns with details: primary communication patterns as many as 91 (verbal as many as 69 and nonverbal as many as 22), secondary communication patterns as many as 69, interpersonal communication patterns as many as 20, linear communication patterns as many as 49, and circular communication patterns as many as 61. The use of communication patterns by lecturers in German competence teaching from the highest to the lowest levels is primary communication patterns (31%), secondary communication patterns (24%), circular communication patterns (21%), linear communication patterns (17%), and interpersonal communication patterns (7%)

    Psychological Well-being as a Predictor of Celebrity Worship among College Students in Makassar

    Abstrak. This study aimed at determining the effect of psychological well-being on celebrity worship among the college students who are fans of Korean dramas in Makassar City. The participants of this study were 402 students who were fans of Korean dramas in Makassar City. The sampling technique used was snowball sampling. The measurement tools used were Celebrity Attitude Scale to measure celebrity worship and Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale to measure psychological well-being. This study used a simple linear regression analysis technique. The finding was that there was an effect of psychological well-being on two aspects of celebrity worship, namely, intense personal feelings and pathological thresholds.  Keywords: Celebrity worship, Psychological well-being

    The Effect of Little Alchemy 2 Game Duration on Figural Creativity in Adolescence

    There are multiple methods to cultivate creativity, including play. In current times, teenagers frequently engage in smartphone-based play, leading to the emergence of online gaming as a solution. Little Alchemy 2 is a popular game among teenagers. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the duration of little alchemy 2 game play on adolescent figural creativity in Makassar city. This study used a one group pre-test post-test experimental design by comparing experimental group 1 with a time limit of 1 minute and experimental group 2 with a time limit of 30 minutes. The study involved 30 male students aged 18-19. The statistical tests employed in this study were the Mann Whitney Test and the Wilcoxon Test. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of intensity in playing the game little alchemy 2 with ρ = 0.042 (ρ <0.05), and there is a difference between the intensity of experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 in playing games at p = 0.000 small than (<0.005). Engaging in Little Alchemy 2 gameplay for a duration of 15 to 30 minutes has the potential to augment the creativity of adolescents

    Invisible Domestic Violences: How Parents did Emotional and Verbal Violences to their Children Unconsciously

    This study aims to determine the forms of violence experienced by children at home and how parents understand violence. The research methodology used is quantitative through a survey approach. Research participants consisted of children (12-17 years old) and parents. Data collection techniques used are online surveys and interviews. The online survey was conducted for all participants consisting of 50 children and 50 parents. Meanwhile, the interviews were only conducted with a sample of parents. All respondents agreed to participate in this study through a verbal consent form. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics and qualitative descriptive. The findings of this study indicate that 1) parents still tend to commit various forms of violence against children such as physical violence, verbal violence, emotional violence, and neglect. This violent behavior is carried out for various reasons, both consciously and unconsciously. 2) Parents tend to understand that violence only consists of physical violence and verbal violence. 3) there is a relationship between parents' lack of understanding about violence and the potential for violence perpetrated by parents against children. This study also recommends that it is important to conduct interventions for parents that focus on increasing parents' understanding of the types of violence and the negative impacts caused as a form of preventing domestic violence.

    Analyzing University Students Ill-Structured Problem Solving Ability in Statistics Subject

    This study has an objective to identification university student ill-structured problem solving skills to solve statistical problem. The study is conducted using mixed method study which is including quantitative and qualitative approach. The study involved 68 university students who enrolled in social statistic subject. The data was collected by using a cognitive test instrument which was administered as pre-test and post-test. The pre-test instrument was constructed as a regular form of test instrument which provides specific instruction for university studentss to solve the test. However, the post-test was constructed based on the criteria of ill-structured problem solving. The result shows that there are difference between pre-test and post-test. The difference can be indicated by comparing the T-value which shows higher value than T-table (10,216 ≥ 1,997). it indicates that the university students have more ability in solving problem with instruction rather than solving the ill-structured problem

    Exploring the Self-Regulated Learning Skills of Physics Students in an Online Learning Environment

    This research investigates the factors of students' self-regulated learning (SRL) skills in online learning environments from the demographic perspectives of gender and major. The study employs a survey design and involves 103 students selected through simple random sampling. Data collection uses the SOL-Q questionnaire and observation. The collected data is analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, and one-way ANOVA. The research results indicate that among the five components of SRL, the environmental structure obtained a high score, meaning that environmental structure contributes significantly to SRL in online learning for physics and non-physics majors. Meanwhile, time management received a low score, indicating that time management contributes less to SRL. There is no significant difference in each component of SRL based on gender and major. Furthermore, there is no significant effect of gender and major on the level of SR
