    Dye Sensitized Solar Cell is a third-generation solar cell made from organic materials that absorbs sunlight energy to be converted into electrical energy. Dye Sensitized Solar Cell components come from ITO glass, papaya leaf extract chlorophyll, TiO2 powder, electrolyte solution, and pencil carbon which are arranged in a layered combination of donor and acceptor structures. The aim of this research was to determine the performance of Dye Sensitized Solar Cell solar cells with papaya leaf extract for soaking ITO glass for 30 minutes and 120 minutes. The research method uses mixed analysis (a combination of analysis and experimentation). Soaking the ITO glass for 30 minutes produced chlorophyll a 22,69 mg/L, chlorophyll b 57,50 mg/L, total chlorophyll 80,19 mg/L, variable Isc 1400 × 10-3 A, variable Voc 235 × 10-3 V, variable Fiil Factor 0,25% and variable Pmax 0,0822 W. Soaking ITO glass for 120 minutes produces chlorophyll a 22,32 mg/L, chlorophyll b 54,59 mg/L, total chlorophyll 74,91 mg/L , the Isc variable is 360 × 10-3 A, the Voc variable is 191 × 10-3 V, the Fiil Factor variable is 0,25% and the Pmax variable is 0,0172 W. This research proves that the optimal soaking time for ITO glass is 30 minutes, because the longer the ITO glass is soaked, the chlorophyll of papaya leaf extract will experience pigment degradation with a reduction in active chlorophyll molecules that absorb sunlight

    This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Problem-Based Learning model in enhancing student participation in Bahasa Indonesia learning at SMP Negeri Model Terpadu Madani. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 30 ninth-grade students. Data were collected through observation and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model effectively increased student participation. In the first cycle, student participation reached 65%, while in the second cycle, it increased to 85%. Student participation improved significantly from the first to the second cycle, with no students categorized as low or very low in the second cycle. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model is proven to be effective in enhancing student participation in Bahasa Indonesia learning

    The aim of this research is to prove that applying contextual teaching and learning can develop speaking skills of semester 3 Students of AMIK Tri Dharma Palu. The research applied quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group. The population was 95 students of semester 3 of AMIK Tri Dharma Palu. The samples were 42 students selected employing purposive sampling technique. Paper and-pencil method was used when collecting the data with a test as the instrument. The test was administered twice namely pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed statistically using 0.05 level of significance and 40 degree of freedom. The result show that after receiving intervention through contextual teaching and learning, students’ score got improved. In other words, applying contextual teaching and learning is effective in developing students’ speaking skill of semester 3 of AMIK Tri Dharma Palu

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Web Based Learning using the Google Sites Web on history learning outcomes for students in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Palu. This study uses a quasi-experimental design. The design of this study used a nonequivalent control group design involving an experimental class and a control class. The results of the research in the experimental class obtained the average data on pre-test learning outcomes of 9.47, post-test of 15.60 and gain of 6.13. While the results of the study in the control class obtained the average data on pretest learning outcomes of 6.66, posttest of 9.83 and gain of 3.17. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of history for students who apply the use of Web Based Learning and those who do not apply the use of Web Based Learning. This means that there is an effect of using Web-Based Learning on history learning outcomes for students at SMA Negeri 2 Palu

    The learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out online at all levels of education. Online learning makes the use of information technology becomes the concern for teachers, students, and parents. This study aims to analyze the problems faced or experienced by students when learning English during the Covid-19 era. This study uses a survey research design. The population of the study were students of SMK Mandalasila Palu while the research subjects were students of Class XI. The convenience sampling technique was used to choose 25 students as the research sample. Data was collected using a questionnaire then the data were analyzed descriptively. The analysis of the data revealed three issues that students in the Covid-19 era encountered when studying online, technical issues, issues with the teaching and learning process, and external issues. Internet network and application utilization difficulties are the most significant technical problems. Student independence, application of learning processes, tasks, and student inactivity are some of the issues with learning and teaching. External issues include students' incapacity to provide internet quota, as well as the state of their home during the online learning process. The findings of this study suggest that it is crucial to invest in the infrastructure and facilities needed to enable online learning, both at schools and in the areas where students reside

    This study aims to describe the form, function, and strategy of directive speech acts in the interaction of health workers with patients at the Singgani Health Center, Palu City. This study used qualitative research methods. The data in this study were in the form of oral data contained in conversations spoken by health workers and patients at the Singgani Health Center, Palu City. The data was collected using observation techniques, recording, observing, recording then followed by data reduction, data presentation, interpreting meaning, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, 13 data were found in the form of directive speech acts namely, 3 forms of prohibition, 5 forms of advice, 2 forms of requests, 1 form of invitation, and 2 forms of orders. 10 directive speech act function data, namely 2 prohibition functions,                 2 advisory functions, 3 solicitation functions, 1 request function, 2 command functions. 10 directive speech act strategy data, namely 6 direct strategies and 4 indirect strategies

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Facebook on the social interaction of students at MAN 1 Palu. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the use of Facebook on the social interaction of students at MAN 1 Palu. This can be seen from the tcount (6.156) > ttable (1.663), then  is rejected and  is accepted and the coefficient of determination of this study shows the contribution of the influence of the independent variable (X ), namely the use of Facebook on the dependent variable (Y ) namely the social interaction of students at MAN 1 Palu by 49% while the rest is influenced by other variables. This research is expected to be information material for parents and educators to control students in using Facebook as a means of social interaction and especially for students to use Facebook in good ways and not overuse it, so that the negative impact of using Facebook can be prevented and avoided especially if the impact makes students have an anti-social attitude towards the surrounding environment

    This research aims to find out and analyze English education students’ perceptions towards online learning during covid-19 pandemic of the second-years undergraduate students of English Education study program at Tadulako University Palu.  This study applied descriptive qualitative research design. The subject of the research was selected using purposive sampling techniques in which 20 students of English Education study program at Tadulako University. Data were collected through questionnaire and documentation. The research found that the students’ perception towards online learning platforms, methodology, and material to be helpful for them during the pandemic. Few of them agreed that they still face many disadvantages using this learning system, their grades are not getting better and few of the students may not have achieved the learning goal by the end of the lecture. These facts are supported by their final score transcription. The result of the data showed that 73% English Education students agree with the statement that the learning through online learning is helpful. The researcher expected that the result of the study could be beneficial for the undergraduate students to use online learning as their learning system.

    Science learning aims to provide opportunities for students to cultivate curiosity and seek answers naturally. However, its obstacle is that the learning models selection which is less varied and innovative so that affect student learning outcomes. An alternative solution to overcome these problems is the use of Quantum learning model which creates fun learning atmosphere. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of using Quantum learning model with multi-representation-based science worksheets on grade VIII students learning outcomes. The research design used quasi-experimental form of non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were grade VIII students of SMPN 03 Bondowoso consisted of 7 classes with 2 classes as the research sample totaling 64 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques were through pre-test, post-test, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical tests through normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test. The experimental class post-test value shows higher than control class. In addition, data analysis shows the data value sig.(2-tailed) of 0.049 < 0.05 which means there are differences in experimental class and the control class learning outcomes. Thus, the Quantum learning model has significant effect on student learning outcomes

    Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Reading Comprehension Mahasiswa

    Reading comprehension skills in English are needed of them by using a learning model, namely Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). The purpose of the study was to improve reading comprehension skills in English. This study used a classroom action research design. The learning materials were readings related to agriculture and language structure. The results showed that the STAD model effectively improved reading comprehension skills in English. The implementation of learning in the first and second cycles showed an increase in student learning achievement. There were 14 (70%) students who succeeded, and 6 (30%) failed. Furthermore, the success increased to 20 (100%) students in the second cycle. The conclusion is the STAD type learning model can improve students' comprehension ability in reading English and increase students' role in active learning
