Teaching Speaking Strategy Used by Lecturer at Public Speaking Class in IAIN Palangka Raya
A teaching strategy uses methods to achieve specific goals. To improve students' speaking skills, new strategies like discussion and debate are needed. The goal of the study was to determine how the lecturer used these strategies, what challenges the students and the lecturer encountered, and how the strategies used to teach public speaking at IAIN Palangka Raya affected the students. The study design employed by the researcher was a case study and the qualitative method. Three instruments were utilized observation, interview, and documentation for collecting the data. The subject was a lecturer and the students 4th semester of English education in public speaking at IAIN Palangka Raya. The researcher obtained the lecturer used discussion and debate. Those strategies were used alternately in each meeting in public speaking class. Before meeting, the students had got the topic from the lecturer and the students should prepare their ideas to show in front of their friends and lecturers. Three problems that the researcher found, there were linguistic factors, psychological factors, and external factors. The students also had improvement in several things such as speaking elements, motivation, and self-confidence
Bridging Using Tongue Twisters to Improve Pronunciation and Confidence of Young Language Learners
This research, based on a community service activity, aimed to improve pronunciation skills and boost the confidence of young language learners at the elementary level using tongue twisters. The study was conducted on July 4th, 2024, at the Miracle Language Center in Narathiwat, Southern Thailand, involving 40 students. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test assessments was employed to evaluate the program's effectiveness. Participants engaged in guided sessions featuring age-appropriate tongue twisters and interactive group activities, creating a supportive environment for practicing pronunciation. The pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using a paired t-test, which revealed a statistically significant improvement in both pronunciation and confidence levels (t=4.81,p<0.05). The findings support the hypothesis that tongue twisters are an effective tool for enhancing language learning among young learners, particularly in pronunciation and self-confidence
Deixis Analysis in Disney’s Song
The objectives of this study are to find out the use of five types of deixis on Disney’s song. The researcher chooses three songs, there are A Whole New World as a soundtrack of Alladin, Let it Go as a soundtrack of Frozen film and I See the Light as a soundtrack of Tangled. This paper used the qualitative method. The researcher used data collected by listening to the songs and reading the lyrics, then she looked for the script of the lyrics of Disney songs on the internet then analyzed them. After collecting the data, she analyzed the result of this research that not all songs of Disney used five types of deixis. There are personal social, place, time, and discourse deixis. From three songs she just found two songs that used all of the types of deixis. There are in the song A Whole New World and Let it Go. In A Whole New World, there were found 39 words of deixis. In the song Let it Go it is found 42 words of deixis. And in the song, I See The Light there are 55 words of deixis. So, it can be concluded that the most dominant deixis in Disney’s song is in the lyrics of the song I See The Light as a soundtrack of Tangled. The result of this research shows that the most dominant of types deixis in Disney’s song is person deixis
Linguistic Landscape in Palangka Raya City: Patterns, Roles, and Functions
The linguistic landscape refers to the visibility and presence of languages in public spaces. The use of linguistic landscape in public spaces has patterns, roles, and functions. Language plays a vital role in human life because language is a means of communication in everyday life. This study aimed to describe the linguistic landscapes that appeared in public spaces qualitatively. The researcher collected the data through observations and photo documentation. The research data and information obtained showed that the linguistic landscape in Palangka Raya plays a crucial role. The use of English in Palangka Raya can be easily found in public spaces, whether in the form of words, phrases, and sentences, monolingual (English), bilingual (English-Indonesian), or multilingual. This research also reported that the roles of the linguistic landscape found in Palangka Raya are identity representation and social representation. As well as the function of the linguistic landscape itself, the result of this study showed that the function of the linguistic landscape in the public space of Palangka Raya is informative uses and interactive uses. The use of English in Palangka Raya occurs because English is associated with globalization, language and cultural transformation towards modernity, high fashion, and personal freedom
OPTIMALISASI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN DI PKBM HARAPAN BANGSA MELALUI LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) 'SERBA'
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan strategi pembelajaran di PKBM Harapan Bangsa melalui penerapan Learning Management System (LMS) 'SERBA'. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 peserta didik dan 15 tutor yang dilatih menggunakan LMS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta didik yang diukur melalui pretest dan posttest. Selain itu, partisipasi aktif dalam diskusi dan tugas interaktif meningkat sebesar 75% dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. LMS 'SERBA' juga dikembangkan dengan berbagai fitur interaktif yang mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh. The Effect of Project Based Learning Model on Reading Comprehension Skills of Grade IV Students of SDIT Khairul Ikhwan
Abstract
This study aims to identify significant differences in students' reading comprehension between those who use project-based learning model and those who use traditional learning model. The research design used was one group pretest posttest design. The instruments used in this study used test and non-test techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The object studied in this study was class IV students of SDIT Khairul Ikhwan totaling 19 people. The results showed that the significance value or Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) or p-value of 0.001 which is smaller than the 5 percent significance level (p-value <0.05), then the decision taken is to reject H0. That is, there is a significant difference in students' reading comprehension between users of the Project Based Learning model and the traditional learning model.

LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK RESTRUKTURISASI KOGNITIF DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA SMP NUSANTARA RAYA
This study aims to improve students' self-confidence at Nusantara Raya Junior High School through group guidance services with cognitive restructuring techniques. The method used in this research is mixed methods with explanatory sequential design, which combines quantitative and qualitative research. Data collection techniques for quantitative research were carried out through distributing questionnaires that had been validated by experts, while qualitative data were collected through observations and interviews with counseling teachers and three seventh grade students. This research was conducted at Nusantara Raya Junior High School with 14 seventh grade students divided into two groups: 7 students for the experimental group and 7 students for the control group. The results showed an increase in students' self-confidence through the application of group guidance services with cognitive restructuring techniques, with a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002 <0.05, which indicates that H1 is accepted. This means that group guidance services with cognitive restructuring techniques are effective in increasing students' self-confidence at Nusantara Raya Junior High School
LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK PROBLEM SOLVING UNTUK MENCEGAH PERILAKU AGRESIF PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII DI SMP KP CIPARAY
This research aims to determine whether problem solving techniques can reduce students' aggressive This research aims to find out whether problem solving techniques can reduce students' aggressive behavior in group guidance services. Aggressive behavior is behavior that aims to injure or destroy. The research was located at Karya Pembangunan Ciparay Middle School. The research method used is a Mix method with a Sequential Exploratory design. The student subjects were selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling type, namely with the criteria of class VIII students and a high/moderate aggressive behavior scale, totaling 6 students. Data collection is through non-test instruments in the form of interviews and observations, and test instruments in the form of questionnaires. The research results can be seen from the t-test calculation carried out with the help of SPSS 23.0 which states that the average before service was 94.83 and after service 50.83 which shows a significant decrease, while the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 or < 0.05 so it can be concluded that problem solving techniques have a significant relationship to reducing aggressive behavior in students
IMPLEMENTASI INOVASI DESA DIGITAL DARI KERJASAMA PENTAHELIX DI DESA SUNGAI PETAI KABUPATEN KAMPAR
Keberhasilan dalam inovasi dapat mendorong kepentingan publik untuk mengembangkan berbagai jenis inovasi lainnya. Oleh sebab itu, peran dan posisi inovasi dalam kepentingan publik sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan penjelasan dan analisis tentang seberapa efektif metode peninjauan literatur, dengan penekanan khusus pada penggunaan aplikasi desa digital di Kabupaten Kampar. Keberhasilan inovasi tersebut dianggap sebagai pendorong semangat tambahan bagi kepentingan publik dalam mengelola berbagai inovasi. Dalam konteks ini, peran inovasi menjadi sangat signifikan untuk meningkatkan mutu pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Kerjasama pentahelix, yang melibatkan pemerintah, masyarakat, dan pelaku ekonomi atau swasta, dianggap sebagai faktor kunci dalam pengembangan inovasi desa digital. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang implementasi inovasi desa digital yang dihasilkan dari kerjasama pentahelix di Desa Sungai Petai, Kabupaten Kampar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode review literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi desa digital di Desa Sungai Petai, Kabupaten Kampar, telah dilaksanakan dengan sukses. Aplikasi ini menawarkan berbagai keuntungan, seperti membuat proses lebih mudah dan lebih cepat dan meningkatkan akurasi pelayanan
Permainan Tradisional: Implementasi Permainan Kelereng untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Motorik Halus Anak Usia Dini
Bertolak dari permasalahan pokok rendahnya kemampuan motorik halus peserta didik di TK Cerdas Cendekia yang belum memenuhi standar tingkat pencapaian perkembangan anak (STPPA), anak cepat lelah saat berkegiatan yang berhubungan dengan jari tangan, adanya anak belum dapat memegang pensil dengan baik dan benar, maka peneliti melakukan penelitian melalui kegiatan permainan tradisional kelereng, karena permainan ini melibatkan aktivitas otot-kecil seperti otot jari tangan dan melibatkan gerakan mata dan tangan secara bersamaan saat mencentang kelereng. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan keterampilan motorik halus pada anak usia dini melalui bermain kelereng. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu mendeskripsikan penelitian yang akan dilakukan melalui teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumenter. dengan subjek penelitian dua orang guru dan 11 orang anak, di Kelompok B, TK Cerdas Cendekia. Adapun analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari 11 anak enam kali pertemuan diperoleh permainan tradisional kelereng, terdapat peningkatan pada perkembangan motorik halus anak, menjadi empat anak berkembang sangat baik, enam anak berkembang sesuai harapan, satu anak mulai berkembang sehingga dapat dijadikan panduan untuk orang tua dan guru bahwa permainan ini dapat digunakan untuk menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus anak.
Starting from the main problem with the low fine motor skills of students at Smart Scholar Kindergarten who do not yet meet the child development achievement level standards, is children get tired quickly when doing activities related to their fingers; some children cannot hold a pencil properly, and correctly, so the researcher conducted research using the traditional game of marbles because this game involves small muscle activity such as finger muscles and involves eye and hand movements simultaneously when ticking marbles. This research aims to determine the development of fine motor skills in young children through playing with marbles. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely describing the research that will be carried out through data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentary methods with research subjects of two teachers and 11 children in Group B, Smart Scholar Kindergarten. The data analysis uses data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results obtained from 11 children in six meetings obtained the traditional game of marbles; there was an increase in the development of children's fine motor skills; four children developed very well, six children developed according to expectations, and one child began to develop so that it can be used as a guide for parents and teachers that this game can be used to stimulate children's fine motor development.Bertolak dari permasalahan pokok yaitu mengenai perkembangan motorik halus peserta didik di TK Cerdas Cendekia, yang belum memenuhi standar, maka peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah permainan tradisional kelereng dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak usia dini. Permainan kelereng merupakan salah satu permainan tradisional yang melibatkan aktifitas otot-kecil seperti otot jari tangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang bermakna mendeskripsikan suatu penelitian yang sedang dilaksanakan dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dengan subjek penelitian adalah 2 orang guru di kelompok B, 11 orang peserta didik yang terdiri dari 4 orang perempuan dan 7 orang anak laki-laki, di Kelompk B, TK Cerdas Cendekia, Sariwangi, Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Adapun analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa permainan tradisional kelereng dapat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak dari penilaian awal belum berkembang (BB) sampai akhir nilai perkembangannya mencapai Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH), sehingga dapat dijadikan bahan edukasi bagi orang tua untuk menggunakan permainan ini untuk menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus anak
