性役割意識の変動に対する時代・世代・構成効果の検討 : SSM調査とSSP調査の統合データを用いて

本稿の目的は，SSM調査（1985年，1995年，2005年，2015年）とSSP調査（2010年，2015年，2022年）の統合データを用いた時代・世代・構成効果の分析を通じて，現代日本における性役割意識の変動についての理解を深めることである．分析の結果，長期的に性役割意識が平等化する時代変化と，戦前生まれと戦後生まれの平等志向の世代差という共通の傾向が確認された．一方，女性に家事育児の適性があるという信念については，2005年から2010年にかけて，保守化や停滞の傾向がみられることや，子育てに関する性役割意識については，戦後生まれにおける新しい世代で平等志向が低下しているなど，項目によって異なる趨勢も確認された．This paper explores how gender role attitudes have changed in Japan by analyzing period, cohort, and composition effects using merged data from the Social Stratification and Social Mobility surveys (1985, 1995, 2005, 2015) and the Stratification and Social Psychology surveys (2010, 2015, 2022). The results revealed a period effect indicating a long-term trend toward more egalitarian attitudes and cohort differences between those born before World War II and those born after as a consistent pattern. However, the findings also highlighted varying trends depending on specific issues ; a conservative swing or stagnation in the belief in women’s inherent suitability for housekeeping and childcare roles was observed from 2005 to 2010, whereas gender egalitarianism declined in the younger generations among those born after the war regarding attitudes about childrearing.departmental bulletin pape
